finding love in trauma

its 8:42 pm my phone rings i could never have been prepaired for what i was about to be told. My friend whom i love dearly, i know her as ms tee you may know her as wetpzzy2009 was working as the female security guard at the milwaukee urban music awards and was shot. i lost my mind breath shortend heart beat clear out my chest speech patttern broken . rushing to get dressed so i can go be by her side. i arrive at the hospital to see 4 of my other friends and tees family and we wait as they prep her for surgery. they move us from the emergency department to the west wing of the hospitals family center it went from about 15 people to nearly 40 in a matter of minutes we spilled over into the chapel. when i tell you prayer is a powerful thing i am blessed to be able to say tee is fine. she required surgery and is going to have to be in the hospital for a week and will have to cut back on dragonberry and chicken wings for a while.
in the course of all of that i got to thinking about the last time i told her i loved her and had to think back a few weeks. that was a terrible feeling. to think that I came that close to losing her and haddnt told her i loved her recently was a terrible feeling.wth all that being said ive gotten to the title of my blog. lastnight family came together and i say family loosely. there were friends along with blood relatives all touching and agreeing over her safety. in the midst of trauma love is found. i pray it never takes something that bad to make us all come together. i beseech you tell those that mean the world to you that you love them and SHOW it in you actions you never know what may happen tomorrow 2 hrs 2 mins 2 seconds from now life can be taken in the blink of an eye
