Welcome to Rude Virtual.
As you may have already noticed by now you will have dropped into the wonderful world of Rude Virtual (RV) as a default, blonde female - you will have no doubt been told by volunteers there to welcome you how to change your look to something more unique, but just in case here's how:
Click the Customize button at the top of your screen, inside you will find options for Gender, Height, Race, Clothing, Eye Color, Hairstyle and Color, Masks and Face Shape.
Make all your selections until your avatar, the digital representation of yourself in RV, looks as you want it to look and click SHOW CHANGES to save!
Now we've got you looking a little more like yourself you're going to want to know how to get around and what you can do!
First off, moving around! To walk hold down the left mouse button and your avatar will begin walking forwards, move your mouse to change directions! For those of you who find this a little difficult you can also use the Up, Down, Left and Right arrow keys or the lets W, A, S and D! It's important to remember that everyone here in front of you in RLC is a real person controlling their avatar just like you - try not to walk through people, stand inside them or too close. Personal space is important here because each avatar is an extension of the person controlling them! If you wouldn't stand so close your noses are touching to a stranger in real life, then please don't do it here!
You may feel that as a virtual world, RV should allow you to do whatever you want, but please take a moment to consider your actions and read the Rules of Conduct. Once again, everyone here is a real person, just like you, everyone deserves respect and politeness and the Rules of Conduct are there to make sure that every user has the best experience of this wonderful community that they can!
So, you've changed your look to something more "you", you've hopefully had a read of the posters around the room and you're itching to get started!
During your time in RV you will come across certain "badges". In the Welcome Center you are very likely to come across the wonderful volunteers of RV, there to help you learn and get you started! Some of the badges you will come across will be:
Guide - Guides are volunteer members, here to help you get the very best out of RV. They are free for questions, no matter how big or small and will be more than willing to help guide you around RV.
Moderator - Moderators are the next step up from Guides, they help out in the same way but have some greater responsibilities for keeping everyone happy and safe!
Rude Staff - These guys will stick out amongst the crowd to you as the names above their heads will appear in blue - Rude Staff are senior members of the Volunteer Program. They are there to enforce the rules of RV, helping keep everyone happy, safe and having fun.
If you have any problems at all during your time in RV, you can Private Message any member of volunteer or staff freely. As a Basic Member these staff and volunteers are the only people you can start a Private Message (PM) with and are there to help!
Also you can tell the membership status of other users by the color of their name - Basic Members names are in Green, which means they have a limited use of RV, VIP Members names are Yellow and they have full access to RV and all that it has to offer.
So you've met the volunteers, no doubt chatted along with a few other people that are new just like you and now you're ready to get stuck in.
So here is a quick run down about what you can and can't do as a Basic Member!
As a Basic Member you can:
Drink
Dance
Skate
Swim
Get High
Explore the many places in RV
Chat along in General Chat with the crowd and
Make a lot of Friends!
As a Basic Member you cannot:
Remove your clothes.
Have or watch sex.
Enter VIP only areas.
Initiate Private Messaging with other users.
As a VIP Member you will have full access to all adult content in RV, access to the fully extended wardrobe allowing you to customize your Avatar down to the smallest of tattoos and piercing, be able to initiate Private Messaging with any member, have access to our Go There function allowing you to "jump" to anyone on your friends list and access all areas in RV and RLC!
And there you have it! There are thousands of people waiting out there ready to chat and explore just like you!
As a final note I'd like to remind everyone here in RV that this is not a Sex-On-Demand game - don't approach anyone and demand sex, just because they are there. Get to know people, learn more about who they are and why they are here in RV. Make as many friends as you can and truly enjoy the safe community of RV. Everything else will follow just as it does in the real world!
