So the wildest thing happened to me on Monday. I was on my front porch and I seen these old people stopped at the corner where there is no stop sign. They seen me and backed up and parked in front of my house. Well, I walk down and meet the woman as she is getting out of her car. I said " Hey how you doing" she said "good and it sure does feel good to be home". At first I was confused then she old me she grew up in my house. My house was built in 1925 and she moved in 1931. Well I invited her in my yard and she walked to a spot in my yard and asked me if I have ever dug here! I was like no ma'am. She told me a story about when she was 10 hearing about a buried treasure in MY YARD!! So I let her come in and she was so sweet and kind. So my question is start digging up my yard looking for treasure or I am crazy for listening to a 86 year old woman I never met?

Thats what I am saying... she walked in my yard and said right here... have you ever dug here? she knew right where the spot was... she said she remember her dad trying to put a fence there to keep the chickens in the back yard and he couldnt put the poles in the ground because there was something there. Well the old timers got word and while where gone they came in the yard and started digging. Well they didnt get very far when they came home and her dad came out with the shot gun and made them leave. she said it was not mentioned ever again.... She also said that there was a tree with wire wrapped around it pointing in the direction of the treasure. They found the wire but someone bent it up and hung a plant from it some years ago. The whole thing is driving me crazy... I think I am crazy for believing and digging up my yard, yeah I have a HUGE hole thanks to the kids and myself, yeah I am finding huge boulders that would of made it hard for her father to put a fence up, who knows...lol

Gosh, I would invest in a metal detector, they are pretty accurate, I have a friend that takes one to the beach, she has found some pretty neat things, including a beautiful diamond ring, that way it may avoid all the holes, and it will help guide you in the direction to dig, wow, I would do it, whats there to lose? Good luck!

The thing that kills me is that she is 86 years old and the only reason she stopped is because I am white (i live in the hood) if I wasnt on my porch she said she would of never of stopped. It is like I was ment to hear the story. Plus why would a 86 year old woman lie about something like that.. I will keep yall posted... Gonna have the ankle bitters dig more tomorrow/today...lol.. Would I have to report my findings? Hmm...lol

DAMNNN, metal detectors cost alot for a good one that detects more than a few inches under the surface.... And can't find a place to rent a good one with no huge deposit .... SMH... any more ideas? lol

Check Craigslist, Ebay, Amazon ...I would love to live close to you, this is some of the things that I love doing!! If you live in the hood then you may not want to spread the word of a buried treasure in your yard!
One other thing, I have worked with old people most of my life, chances are she is telling the truth, I just hope she is not confused as to your house being the one. ...
