Chestylicious and BJMature are correct there are FOUR states that have NEW as part of their name
Chestylicious is correct again FIVE directional states and TWO Quebecs, but you are wrong about the LONELY STATES
yes TEXAS is the LONE STAR state, but it is CONNECTED/TOUCHES to atleast ONE state, but the LONELY STATES are: HAWAII and ALASKA, their the ONLY states that dont TOUCH nor CONNECT to any other state. Canada is between ALASKA and NORTH DAKOTA, so that is ONE LONELY STATE. and between HAWAII and CALIFORNIA is the PACIFIC OCEAN. Hawaii doesnt touch any other state.
