I just saw a couple really interestedly emotional or compositionally unique - whether intended or accidental... they gave off more emotion that just the ordinary photo... Maybe my blood sugar is high or llow or I ate something questionable at lunch... but I think it would be neat to have a Photo Contest...
It would totally be subjectively judged!!!
And no rules on composition or content... because sometimes accidents make it unique... and forced photos look hmmmmm - forced.... But just a mass of photos... let whomever judges - put the finds into the categories... whatever those are in a photo contest... composition... portrait.... unique content - unique presentation... I don't know - never even entered a photo contest... well maybe a sunset one - once in college, but just a mass of photos that can be categorized by the judges... and maybe let the community judge the top 5 in whatever categories are made.... and let the powers that be appointed judges... pick the winners of those 5 per category -- that way everyone gets into it... easy to enter... and you might use the magazine to post the winners in one month...
Ok just brain storming here -- any ideas???

Watchit!, are you some type of writer? Do you write a lot? All that was mindboggling... So you saying get a community of judges to pick a winner from a photo-set? A mass of photos on one canvas? Write it in lamens terms... lol

simple... photo contest -- enter your photos... things you like -- think are good --- unique...
Not into categories predefined -- just enter whatever you think is good for whatever reason.(maybe add that as part of the submission - why you think it is good or unique)
Then a set of "judges" categorize these photos in to unique sets of similar traits... from those sets someone picks the top 20 lets say...
Now those photos are presented to the community for a vote on the top 5....(this could be a monthly magazine section - with the year ending finalists and year beginning - winners)
Those top 5 get the final vote as to winner runner up honorable mentions etc...
Easy contest to enter -- enter your photos you like
again - gets organized and culled down - to present to the community for a popular vote....
that popular vote gets redefined in a final vote to the winners by the powers that be -- whom i'd hope would add into the kitty - some prizes too -- so, their prizes -- their final vote...
its that simple... think it'd be fun --
I think there are a lot of good photos out there...
just if you call it a portrait contest or a wacky shot contest - that is limiting and it forces things to fit the category - which doesn't really make for original unique photos - it makes stuff that fits the rules... that's all...
simple complexity ;-}}
Oh i can't attach an example or by doing that I create a rule which taints the concept....
As short as i can make it ---
enter whatever you think is unique and quality because you think it is.... someone will organize this chaos into categories then cull them down to the best ones in each category - pop vote on those narrows it to the top few - powers that be - organize those to winner and there down - present prizes we all enjoy the fun with it ...
as good unique photos are fun - what fun - funny, wacky compositionally unique thing can you think of... I got a few ideas ;-}}.

let me add one thing... these don't have to be sexual/sex related categories... some might be just wacky and funny...
Could be used to promo the RUDE community on places that don't allow sexual content... there are things here that are not all sexual, just surrounded by sexual content...
It could attract those that have so far missed the community because you cant post a nude body ad at that site... but you could post elements of a contest like this that are fun... and state it links to a Adult Entertainment Based Community Website... just an after thought...

lol.... you 2 are cute together you know that?  I like the idea and think it'd make a rather neat mag contest ... something that would really bring a turn to the mags and rude's first photo related contest (opposed to the normal rudemate of the year thing for those that make the cover).

For the record, it's  's third. Lake held two photo contests. And the magazine held a wet t-shirt contest, so it isn't first there either.
How do you differentiate between amateur photography and commercially done photography? It's still an amateur site.
Just my .28 chip.

i never expected it to be a first ;-} just broad... to me it doesn't matter if its professional or amateur - what matters is the photo itself -- it is subjective as these always are . but its easy to enter... enter what you like - give your reasons why - why you like your photo - and i hope many would enter - i seen a few good ones on the boards - thats what spurred the idea... i bet there are alot of good photos that just have been missed... ;-}
ok i'm getting a feeling that few might enter and the contest wouldn't be a contest with out many entries... what if the photos are posted as finds... like i thought there were a few unique photos that i found and want to enter them... of course the member could have entered them - but i did it first - so timing matters - enter early and often... and if the photo I entered wins a prize - we split it between me as finder and the owner as producer - incentive ;-}}

How bout to add to that a profile page of the week and a small reward like 5 bucks worth of chips. im tired of seeing boring blank pages and them ugly ass defualt profile pictures LOL!!!!

Sounds like an interesting concept 88keys - why not develop the idea a bit more on a thread for that... like what the criteria would be - how you judge it... is everyone entered or are you nominated in... stuff like that...
Maybe your poll will be at a better ratio than mine with this idea ;-}}} Good luck with it ;-}}
