UPDATED COVER INFORMATION
1. High quality pics, ie good resolution. No blurriness etc. No web cam shots will ever be considered for the cover, and we rarely take them for photo shoots. They are VERY hard to work with and do not provide the clearest pictures. For cover consideration, photos should be around 1275 by 1650 pixels (or as close to possible, over is always good as well). RAW format. OR JPG. For a pointer, set your camera to its highest setting.
2. They need to have at the very minimum 24 pictures to submit. This cover spread needs to be 4-6 pages long. A real photo spread.
3. An about me (couple of paragraphs minimum) submitted along with the pictures, Give the readers something to read too. Turn ons/offs, plans, fave things. The more text along with your photos the better! Make sure you submit this in Word, or Open Office format, and not as e-mail text.

Favorite drink:
In the movie of your life, which actor should play you?
What would you name your autobiography?
What is the least appropriate place you've ever had sex?
Would you rather be able to fly or walk through walls?
(Above is not all inclusive just use it to get your juices flowing)
4. When doing your photo shoot try for variety in the pics. Submit sets with a large variety of poses, different angles, and shots that range from wide, full body to tight focus on single features. Try to get some decent background, and try to submit only sets. IE. Photos taken in 14 different places with one pic each are not considered for covers unless outstanding in nature!
5. Make your photographs tell a story. Be creative and fun. We want to see individuality in your shoot.
6. Other things we look at some times, do you do shows, privates, house cams, flix, pix, what do you bring to Rude? Do you show support for the site? Do you help people out, etc. These are all sample things that can be looked at to decide to make you that months Rude Mate.
7. Remember, we can hold photo shoots for a bit. If we get three people in one month who might make it for cover that month, we might hold two shoots for the next two months covers. If you do not see your shoot that month, you still have a shot with that shoot!
8. Getting in the magazine is great exposure. Getting the cover as well is even more exposure. Rude Magazine is GROWING and is a GREAT way to get people to your content on Rude.com
9. NO WATERMARKS on the photos. You will be linked to your Rude Profile and given full credit.
10. Read all the Rules and follow them!
11. GOOD LIGHTING!!!! Ask Ask Ask if you need help, people like TheTiminator are always willing!
12. Do you know a Holiday is coming up? Check the Rude Magazine Board for upcoming themes. We will always choose a theme set that follows everything above first to get that months cover. (Although we will NOT bend the rules backwards just to get a themed cover. IE a submission has NO text but follows the Valentines Theme, still =s no cover)
13. The Rude Magazine Crew will only choose single people for the Cover each month. This does NOT mean that you cannot garner awesome exposure from couples photos etc. We love getting hard core couples content and more.
14. NUDITY, this is an ADULT Site, we like to some skin from those who are going for the cover!
Remember, each month, the cover girl is that months Rude Mate. You will get exposure from it; from any pictorial, just ask the previous cover girls.
Rude Magazine is 3 years old.
Rude Mate of the Year eligibility is to receive a Cover in one of the previous 12 issues when the contest starts. Still be an active member of Rude.com and not have been a Rude Mate of the year in the previous year.
