Just a thought with all of those idiots that have nothing better to do with time on their hands but to go through each and every thing you have and mark it as low as they possibly can because they are assholes.
How about making it so when someone marks something a 1 or 2 star, they have to give a reason for it. Giving us producers the right to see that reason (privately) say in an instant PM or something so that we have a chance to either know what actually was wrong or fight for a bullshit low star rating.
I know it means more work for the review team but since this is our content and our way to promote our paid stuff, it only makes sense that we'd be allowed to fight against those idiots that mark stuff down 'because they don't like you' or 'because they aren't into bbw' or 'you don't have a big enough booty' or other bullshit reasons.

I agree, it would force the assholes to think up something else to spend their time on. Unless 'just because I'm an asshole' is one of the reasons given.

The other problem inherit with this (and don't get me wrong, I fully agree there are idiots who will downrate because they can) is that the implication is that all content is worth 3 to 5 stars, which clearly is not the case.
That said, i would have to concur with my learned friend across the pond that the criticism may not be constructive enough for this to be a learning tool.
Just my .28 chip.

Exactly Mr McP............ if someone post's content here or anywhere else that has a rating system then you have to accept that there will always be someone that doesn't like what you post.......... you are not always going to get the big numbers, if you put it out there you have to accept whatever rating you get......hey at least you're getting some attention.............. you'll never get a real reason from the knuckle draggers , it'll always be, "your too fat", "your too thin", "your an ugly bitch " etc etc etc........ in my opinion it won't work as a constructive tool or a deterrent to stop people giving low star ratings....... suck it up ladies come back stronger.....

It's not all about getting "big numbers".
If you want to rate low, that's fine, it's your perogative but at least let it be known why you didn't like it. By knowing what might have 'pissed' them off with the vid, it could be constructive criticism as well.
That way, it'll most likely cause you to change some methods around so that you can give a better experience to whomever is watching. Some people will rate high even when they didn't like it and that's fine too.

Sorry I don't believe that at all......... you are seriously saying that if you constantly got 5* across the board that you'd be supporting this idea............. no no no .....it's because you want big numbers and you think that providing a reason for rating low will stop folk doing it.....all it'll do is stop folk rating full stop in my opinion...humble that it is.

this wasn't about getting big numbers but I believe 'because I didn't like it' does not fall into the approved reason to rate something as low as you can. There has to be a valid reason. Was the lighting bad, was the camera unsteady... was there actually something WRONG with it that it was marked low rather then having some go through each and every thing they can rate just to mark it low 'because they didn't like it' is BS.

And just to chime in and then there will be more reports due to insaults rather than constructive criticism.I think with online..as others have said,there is always going to be someone with no life or mad cause you set em straight who will hit low stars because in their mind that is revenge.It is just like the asses who report lame shit on FB and get their way cause a certain model,amateur,camgirl etc didn't take their bullshit.These lames will always exist

Ummmm, a LOT of people don't rate anyways.....Want to know how I know? I can see 1000 views (I understand that everyone who views the vid may not have a RUDE page) and less than 10 votes sometimes.
But yes, everyone wants Producers to step up their material so a real comment as to what you specifically didn't like about it can be useful.
I had someone rate a Flix as a one because abbreviated quote, "I hate when dudes hold the camera". Point taken and I have to figure how to get that POV without necessarily having the guy hold the camera.
Makes you expand your creativity to "supply" what watchers "demand".

to be honest the stars are not the stat the says your material is good... they are an ego stat that gets placed on your page as a status symbol...
The stat that shows your vid is good isn't even the views - anyone can get 1000 views by accident... not everyone can get 10,000 views and what helps make that possible is the fav number and the number of comments and your self promotion......
When it comes down to it people will comment negatively & Rate negatively because they want to... some people are just that way.... others do rate less than 5 because they honestly believe they are being fair and rating it justly... and others will give anything a 5 star just because they know someone has or will rate with a 1 star... but if you get all bent out of shape because of a rating or a comment - you miss the point...
Do what you think is best and what you enjoy - like money - the ratings will come - and they really won't matter so much... because you like what you do and you know some others do to... those who don't like it... it doesn't matter... there are always negative people...
If you want to know what you can do better ask those who you respect to give you an honest evaluation of your work... that is not to get a "it's great comment"its to get a critically honest comment which some people read as negative but if its honest and true - like use more light or better editing or cam work is needed - focus... edit it up... better or less music more real audio...etc... real constructive comments - from people who's opinion you trust - will help you way more than... figuring out who gave you a 1 star and why and having the ability to delete it...
To those people seeing you get so upset by their 1 star rating... will only feed their need to do it even more... those are the people when you boot them will return forever under new names doing this stuff even more...
Sure the numbers are nice when positive... they suck when they are manipulated... and they really don't matter if you understand the "why" of them... do what you enjoy and try to do it well... people will see the good of that and that support will - by law of averages - make things work out ok... imo ;-}
