Since the inception of Rude Magazine, each month I have seen people asking “how can I get a copy”, or “how do I subscribe?” Anyone who contributes to the magazine, if you’re anything like me, would love to have a hard copy of your work actually published. So what can we do about it? Rude keeps track of every click that takes place on this site. For example, the Rude Magazine board has had fewer than 12,000 views, while this General board has had almost 1.5 million. That’s less than 1 percent. I don’t know how many the magazine itself has had, but if this is any indication then I can understand why they aren’t publishing. We need to show them that we are interested. They aren’t going to invest in printing something that they only sell 25 copies of. Let’s show some support! Even the lack of contributions leaves them to question. Right now, they are including everything that is submitted each month, and still only averaging under 50 pages including advertisements. I’ll tell you what – if this post stays on the first page for the next 30 days, showing that people are really interested, I will personally get with the powers that be and offer my help in promoting and publishing the magazine. I don’t mean meaningless bumps from a couple of people. I mean real interest. So what’s it gonna be?

Sounds interesting! Remember also, the general section of the board was here from day 1, where as other areas have been added later, like the magazine section.

We have been building more and more each month. The next issue is going to be hot as well.
Thanks for the great enthusiasm and submissions Tim 
We will be doing more info shows, contacting a few people who have shown interest in the past, and many other things over the next couple of months.
We have talked about many things, and Robb and Brett, as busy as they are with everything know the levels of promotion we hope to get to!
As it builds, and becomes more profitable I am sure that print can be an option in the future.
Me, Ravy, and VI, talk about ways to promote, get more submissions and readers all the time. PLEASE send any ideas you might have. Our To DO list is growing
I do know that when we first started this venture that the possibility of going to print later on could be there if we could grow it enough to make it feasible. I believe Robb even found a place that could do it for us at a decent cost.
There are SO many things in the works on Rude, that like anything else it will take time. We are dedicated to growing the Magazine and would love to take the Magazine to the homes of every Rude Member one day!

Big up you thetiminator, hope that works cause i'd love to see it published in hard copy. It's the perfect mag for taking a regular browes through, cause not only are the pics special, but there is just so much to read and it's quality dialogue that's up there with loads of establised printed mag.

Damn Windows updates! Third time trying to reply. lol Anyway, Yeah Robb, the General board has been around a lot longer. I just thought the "less than 1%" remark would have an impact. And thanks Crissy, and the whole magazine staff for all you do.! I really like how far the magazine has come in such a short time, and where it seems to be going. I did some research on the cost of printing, and sadly yes, there needs to be a lot more interest in the magazine if it is going to be profitable. We try to promote it in the voyeur house as much as possible without being annoying. Let us know if there is anything more we can do, we're happy to help, and we'll let you know if we come up with any great ideas.
Wow, I just realized that this post has been moved to the Magazine board. I had originally posted it in the General board in hopes of reaching a larger demographic; that being the people who only read the General board. I figure if you read the Magazine board, you're already interested in the magazine. Perhaps it was too subtle (or blatant) for the board mod to realize my intent. Oh well, I tried. I think that sending out shouts about this post will get more people talking.
We will mention when we do the next magazine show as well.
I wonder if we can have a magazine sponsored show (Non pay) so Crissy can be naked, pull more people in  LOL.
Tim, you and Trinity have been great at submitting stuff and ideas, we thank you and look forward to continuing to build. ALL ideas are welcome!
We almost have a sample issue finished and ill get you a copy of it so you can help spread the word!

I will definitely continue to spread the word as much as possible, and will always keep the submissions coming. If there is anything I can do besides, let me know. (I have always secretly wanted to get into magazine publishing anyway )

i want this magazine to b immortal if possible, cause with every issue its gettin bigger n bigger. with more n more people submiting ideas, i think if it was published n real life, it would outweight the webster dictioinary by 50 pounds

Look's like everyone is up for a hard copy in print except for the drawback in price you pointed out Tim, including myself !
Now to throw the monkey wrench ( as I usaully do ! ) in the thread ......
Getting RudeTV off the ground has Rude digging into the pockets pretty deep. I know it's one of the best moves they could ever make but it won't happen overnight . Cripes , taking forever for the 21st to get here to see the debut already !!
The only solution for a fast start to printing is digging into the pockets of those recruiting , reduce that by 25 or even 50 % and put that money into the magazine. Instead of a dollar each , 1/2 go's to funding . Each payed subscription has 2 have a mail address so why not include a recruiting link to , tied to that subscriber ? might draw a better crowd to.
To be honest , I'm not to impressed with the new people joining Rude now and expecting evrything for free in sponsored rooms. I think drawing interest into new forms of recruiting may help the to maintain the integrity we all want to see here and bring us a magazine sooner !

My opinion,
To take this to print one or a combination of a couple of things need to happen.
1. More advertisers come on board, and more people reading the magazine each month.
2. More reasons to Read the magazine (In the works, including RUDE TV SCHEDULE ETC)
3. A subscription fee in chips maybe. If we have a per issue cost then we know what we could charge. It could be something like a Rude stores purchase. I know there are many companies that print in quanites of 1 etc, not sure if any do adult though.
4. A monthy, yearly, subscription choice.
These are just a few things I was thinking about. I used to have a small publication that I had actually forgot about until this thread with a whole 10 subscribers that I sent out each month. It was horror related, not adult, done off of a print and deliver on demand service. Not even sure if they are still around.

Well, this probably doesn't help with the ones suggested, but as we've always said, anyone in NorCal that would like a shoot done for the magazine, if they are within reasonable driving distance we will be happy to do it free.
