How about something on a member's profile indicating the last time they logged in? I just visited a profile shown on the Rude home page as a "Featured Member", and the last content added was in 2008. Just a thought.

They may have never logged out as i have seen it recommended by Rude... seems even that cookie would expire but some last virtually forever... but yeah would make sense to give priority to active members.... more active more prominence ;-}

That would be great!! Then there would be less feelings being hurt if you left a message or comment and didn't get a reply. Just my thought though....

I am all for this as long as it is just an option and not forced..cause then you always get someone who gets mad if they saw you logged on this and that time and they msged you but did not get a reply.

I often do not bother logging out at all as I am only going to need to log in again in a couple of hours.
I agree though that priority should be given to more active members rather than those who have not visited Rude in months and months.

I agree completely. I usually am logged in until my computer restarts which could be days or weeks. Maybe I should have gone into a little more detail originally. How about something like - "Last Login 06/16/2008 - Not Logged In" or "Last Login 07/23/2010 - Logged In" This would give us some idea of whether they are actually current, or if they got really into Rude for a few weeks several years ago but never came back. This would help us differentiate between active and inactive members when we do something like click on the "Featured Members" on the front page to check them out.

I'm not sure how the cookie things works but is there away to link a cookie could do it? ... so if you load a page you be active as of.. now - 7/25/10... if you haven't loaded a page it would say - 5/25/09 maybe ;-}

True... the system could possibly be set to automatically log you out after no action being taken on the site for say 2 weeks. ???? Maybe???

Whilst it isn't part of the member page ("front page"), one can at least look at their buddies list and check the last login of their buddies, either most recent of oldest, depending on selection.
Click 'view all' on your buddies box, and select an option in top right box when your buddies come up. It's not as handy as having it on everyone's page, but it's a start.
