Keeping it simple... less scrolling down if the boards are arranged by view count... that way the most popular will be near the top - hence less scrolling down to go from 1 group to the next.
But to be fair the view numbers are exaggerated because after you post the thread returns to the front page rather than the last page where your post is... so if you check your post for errors after you post... you added at least 1 extra view to the view count.... be better if after a post you get redirected to the last page rather than the main first page.
