We now have the ability for you to have all of your tweets from your twitter account scrape into your clitter account.
You can activate this by following the instruction by clicking the manage link on your space page for clitter.
It will not re-scrape tweets that were scraped from your clitter account to your twitter account so no need to worry about double posts.
FYI, Clitter has just broke over 9 billion clits

Will there be anything in place to remind people that the promoting of other sites will be restricted to clitters? With the incredible amount of self-promotion some do with twitter (their sites, myspace, facebook, vote for pages, etc), some may get the impression that posting competition links will be ok everywhere.

I was thinking of that too McP... even though I promote RUDE with most everything - I also promote other things and they will come across on that feed. It's one place that rule should not apply - if your allowed to bring in another sites(Twitter) posts into RUDE;-}

If it didn't apply there , then it wouldn't be long before people were trying to post links to every other site on the boards in comments and anywhere else you can think of "because they thought it was allowed"
We would be swamped with it .....

Brett, could you clarify whether the scraping tool is okay to use if you also use twitter to promote other sites?
It sounds like a great tool to have, but, I don't want to run afoul of its intentions.

i'm getting my twitter to clitter but not my clitter to twitter yet ;-}... anyone else or is it in my setup?
***(1 thing I did notice was that links in clitter/tweets are not clickable - that really is a nice feature that would be good to have in our clitters too ... and the tweets are not retweetable... another good thing to incoporate into clitter is that option for people to retweet the tweet or the clitter... I'm new to tweets so I don't know if retweet is an option that can be added off the twitter site, but if it can -I think that would be a great thing to add because that gets Rudies clitters into twitter followers lists...;-} just a few more thoughts ;-}
****) update it works both ways now... C>T & T>C and with the twitter widget it get put on my sites, blogs etc too ;-} Pretty kool... I see potential here and retweets are twice as sweet ;-}}

well most people on twitter post at least one link to another site on their page per day.. whether it be for their own promotion or a youtube vid etc. So how is the clitter/twitter application gonna work if its getting almost everyone warned or kicked off rude? I am not going to use this option until I get clarification.

When it gets here the links are not clickable and they are missing elements so they are not even cut n pasteable - some parts of them are readable but most people I believe just scan the stuff and if its interesting they might look to find the source...
Doubt that they would know or care to do much more than that... so it's good for basic announcements... not good for spamming... and gr8 cross connection and traffic for RUDE and Rudies who use it to announce "whatever"...
Helps with website updating and general automated posting - it gets out the basic message and that's good enough to be of use...but for the spammers - the out come is less than desired so I doubt it will be a big problem(hope it would not be)...
Something I kinda understand ;-} - In this mass of info... the messages are so many the spammers will most likely be ignored... imo ;-}

i am still confused. i was using the twitter to clitter application when i realized i could possibly be getting myself into trouble with mentions of other sites i am on. this i felt far too dangerous so i disallowed the share but i would like clarification on this. sense my tweets will/do mention other sites, other places of picture hosting and such, can i be held responsible for that being swapped to my clitter from my twitter.

we are still waiting for an answere here and i just heard that a producer was kicked for this... not sure if true or not but until there is clear clarification on this matter i would sugjest that no one who uses twitter as promotional tool to link with rude. very sad truly
