I would want this update mostly to be able to update to the newest version of wordpress.
In my point of view it is a security risk to stay on this old version of php that contains issues.
I am running wordpress 3.1.3 on debian 6 with Apache/2.2.16 (Debian) and PHP Version 5.3.3-7 in a test environment that works perfectly together.
If it was me doing the upgrade i would make a virtual test environment and finally move over the sites and tell everyone that has hosting that this date we are going to do the switch and bring it live with the old system still untouched so in worst case scenario there is a easy way to go back to the old system.
I already have database and file backup on everything since i always do all updates to my sites off site in my test system so i always have full backups.

Jason just for info for a bit backtracking it was broken yesterday when the fullscreen option came in and the all the unknown in the chat then all of a sudden it started to work as it was before and the unknown was gone then i guess it broke again. Atleast it was working for me until my last restart of my browser.

If the problem is that the harddrive is squeced so it has problems to spin then you could change to a ssd drive.
ssd does not spin it is just "memory" that you could compare to a usb stick or sd card in your camera.
They do cost quite alot though but are fast as hell. I do recomend you to get an usb harddrive to save things you are working with since ssd have a "best before date" so heavy writing and deleting stuff on a ssd shortens the life.
As many others said get another computer it will almost be as cheap as getting a ssd disk.

Adobe has posted a security bulletin regarding some security problems in Flash Player, Reader and Acrobat
http://www.adobe.com/support/security/advisories/apsa10-01.html
They say that the current pre release of Flash Player does not contain the problem and recommend people to upgrade to that one.

Haha details.
It was a quite calm and nice bachelor party or wait the party was not quiet and calm.
We kidnapped him in the morning he was told to walk to a place and we was standing around the road he was walking on masked so he didn't know who we was.
We took him to a place put him on a skateboard with a rope around him and what it looked it was attached to a car who took off when we pulled his cover from his eyes he got quite scared but the rope attached to the car was to short so he did not really react.
Then he got a bag that his fiance had put together with some note saying something and there was a dress a g-string and 2 socks for fake boobies and also the shirt.
He then had to dress up in that omg the sight i think my friends camera is doomed for life with a outline of him in it. then we drove in to town where we was kind enough to let him get in to his usual cloths but he had to wear the t-shirt and we went to a music studio where he got to record a song that became quite good and we got some really good laughs. We then went out on town for a few hours having some beers and waiting to go to a sauna boat that took us out on the ocean for sauna bathing in the ice cold ocean and have dinner. Then it was back in to town to really hit the head in the wall where the party was crazy and all off a sudden the bachelor was gone and apparently he tried to get home but did not know where he was and did not know where he was going and he did not have any money but his girlfriend managed to get someone to find him and drive him home.
Btw he was hungover for 2 days and he came home to his fiance singing on his newly recorded song with the largest grin on his face

I think you can download trial versions of Cyberlink PowerDirector and also Adobe Premiere PRO CS5 or Premiere Elements 8 from their sites.
Just try some trial programs and see what you like and then get a real copy off it.
