Are you sure the name is not already in use .Since you arent automatically signed uup with Rude Virtual when you sign up with Rude.
So I believe
correct me if I am wrong
|
It's me popping my head in again.
That's correct. Rude and Rude Virtual databases are unrelated, so chances are that your Rude name is already in use in Rude Virtual. I ran into the same problem reversed when I signed up here, so I added the RLC to the end of mine.

Generally within a day or 2, but being close to the weekend might take a tad longer.

Personally, most of us are just as confused as to why we have a Furry dim.
You don't have to be furry in that dim only, or have to be furry to be in that dim, it's just there as an option.

Yes, Yahoo accounts work. I have a testing account that I use that is registered under a Yahoo addy, and I know many others who only use Yahoo email.

Just to add to this, the profiles use the same code as MySpace, so that should help you as well there.

I've noticed it a few times myself. I think it's just a small quirk as there is only one type of VIP in Utherverse.
As far as the room I'll have to check this out to see, but this might be one of the rooms that aren't ready yet.

Zera, I don't know where you got your information from but balgus and trin are right... paypal's TOS strictly mentions no adult stuff except in the form of lingerie or 'toy' related stuff. Anything dealing with photos, videos or memberships, best believe they will soon find them and have the account closed... Sorry dude.
|
Actually, they are even strict on toys (unless that's changed recently). Alot of places that sell them will mask it as something else to allow for Paypal.

You can use Rays to buy VIP, but you can't do it yourself.
The minimum amount, as mentioned above, is 350 Rays. In order to become VIP using Rays, someone will need to buy a Level 6 (or higher) gift for you via the profiles. As a basic member, you can't transfer funds yourself, so someone else will have to "foot the bill" initially and you repay them.
You will have to be age verified before your VIP starts. If your account is a former VIP, this isn't an issue. If this is this accounts first upgrade to VIP, and you aren't using a credit card, etc... to verify your age (in this case you aren't) then you will have to verify.
Sending in a government issued photo ID via fax or email (feel free to inquire this info from one of our volunteers or via our forums) to Utherverse support is what is needed to get this going. The sooner you are verified, the sooner any gift VIPs can kick in.

u need 350 rays to get a 30 day vip pass
u can get rays by making posts on their forums making friends or you can purchase them
|
Actually, you can't earn Rays by posting in the forums. You can earn them by viewing profiles, being viewed, posting blogs, pics, rating blogs and pics, logging into your profile and into the virtual world.
Some of these have daily limits.

Adding Friends/Finding Help
Next is adding friends. This one is actually a pretty easy one. It's recommended to ask first, or at least talk with the person a bit before requesting an add. This is more of an unwritten social norm, and not a rule.
To request a friend, right click on their avatar or name in locals (we'll cover that in a bit) and then click add friend. This will pop up a message on that persons screen. They will have the option to accept, deny, or save for later (sends the request to your profile).
Once you added a friend, now it's time to view the friends list. In the top right hand corner, you'll see Friends. Click it and your friends list will appear. You will see Friends, Locals, Search, Ignores.
Friends, of course, is a listing of all of your online friends. This will only show the ones who are online, or appearing online.
Locals is simply a listing of all the people in the same region as you are. Keep in mind there may be many dimensions in a region, so don't be alarmed if you don't find your friend when they said they were there.
Search is the place to not only search for other member names online, but also to find help when needed. To find help, click search. Then make sure Staff/Volunteers is clicked, then click the search button.
All online staff and volunteers will be shown in this list. They are generally listed with their respective titles (Guide, Leader, Protector, Staff). As a basic member, Staff and Volunteers are the only members that you can start an instant message with.
To search for regular members, click the all button in the search tab, then type the name or partial name of the member you want to find. You must type at least 3 characters to do a search.
Ignores is a listing of any members you have placed on ignore that are currently online. By right clicking them inside this box, you can also remove them from ignores. If the member you wish to remove is not listed there, then they are offline and you will need to do this via your profile.

Customizing your avatar.
Upon entering the world, you will be set as a default avatar (and not quite a pleasant one at that. ), usually female. Here's how you customize yourself.
After making certain you are not on a dance floor, click the customize button in the top left hand corner. This will open a screen with several controls which will generally speak for themselves. Shirt, pants, masks (this includes glasses as well), male/female, etc...
As a basic member, your choices will be somewhat limited when compared to VIP. As a VIP you will have access to underwear, tattoos, makeup, and many more clothes.
Here, you can also save your outfits. You are given 10 slots for free, so once you get the look you want, type a name in the box to the left, then save the outfit. You can buy more slots via your profile.
Once done, click save changes and you're set and ready to go.

Hi everyone
Alot may be wondering how to control things once you're in the virtual world. I'll post some controls, tips, etc... here for you all in the next few posts.
Welcome to the "family". And feel free to look me up sometime and say hi.

Figured this thread might be a good a place as any to make my first post here.
I'm SweetGuy, a volunteer at Utherverse. I might not have as much time as I'd like to pop in, but I'll try to stop by and say hi from time to time.
We're glad to welcome you all to the "family". I look forward to meeting you guys as time progresses, so if you see me around, feel free to say hi.
I know there are still alot of questions to be worked out, but if you have any questions or need any help in the virtual world, feel free to ask one of our Guides or any of the other volunteers or staff and we would be more than happy to assist.
Feel free to hit me up as well and I'll try to answer the best I can.
Well, being up for 24+ hours sucks, so time to hit the sack.
Take care!
