Come on Rude people, we need you! We need articles, funny bits, pictorials, interviews, stories or ANYTHING you think would be a good fits for the monthly Rude Magazine. We are working on an automatic submission script here, but for now just need to email it to the address below. Please be sure to read over the legal, tips, and guidelines first though:
Legal:
As with all parts of Rude you MUST own the rights to ANY material you are submitting for inclusion in the magazine. By submitting you are expressly granting Rude a non-exclusive lifetime perpetual license to use in any way that Rude chooses. Furthermore Rude has full rights to edit, reject, modify in anyway all content submitted by you. This goes for any form of media including but not limited to audio, video, text, pictures. Do not proceed unless you understand and agree to this.
Tips, Rules & Guidlines:
1) Please try to get all text submissions into us via a Word attachement to your email. It makes our life easier.
2) Please try to get your text submissions as close to grammatically correct as possible. Again, make our life easier.
3) No plagairism. It is fine to develop ideas from other sources, but you work must be original, not a copy of content elsewhere.
4) Any content we feel is not suitable will not be included.
5) We have the right to modify, edit, and adapt your submission in any way we see fit in order to scale to magazine placements.
6) Please include your RudeName & copy of your profile picture. We will always try to give credit to all submitters, where ever possible.
7) As a guide try to use a max of 25-250 words for all filler stuff ( tid bits, jokes, reviews,ect)
8) As a guide try to use a max of 500-1000 words for (small articles)
9) Main articles should in general be between 1000-2500 words. This is a guide, if the article warrants more, thats fine.
10) Please try to keep Photo submissions to a JPG format.
11) All pictorials should be in general 14-20 pictures. This way we have some choices to play with.
12) If you have having issues sending pictorials because of their large size, please shoot us an e-mail at the same address and we will find a solution.
13) Always include your Rude Member name in the e-mail. If we do not get this information , do not assume we will automaticaly know who you are. (This has happened to many times to count so far, then they do not respond to the e-mail asking who the heck they are)
14) Web cam, and Digital Cam quality is much different. We will use webcam shots only where we must. Please keep these submissions to a minimum.
15) Feel free to choose your own subject matter for the photo shoots. Although bear in mind themes and seasonal occassions.
16) No watermarks please and be sure to send us the highest resolution you can. We will bring down as needed.
17) Feel free to submit as many different times as you wish.
18) It will be our sole descretion which issue your contribution will fit into best. Don't panic if you do not see your submission, usually means we have a better fit for it in another monthly issue.
