Please Say a Prayer for my Big Dog

I had to take him to the vet today as he may have bloat and may need surgery
(very common but deadly in Great Danes)
He means everything to me and I just want him to come home.
I love you my sweet baby UPDATE
He is back home now and did not need the GDV surgery. However he will still need to have a preventative surgery that will keep his stomach from rotating if he ever bloats again.
Thank you for all your kind words and wishes. UPDATE to the UPDATE
About a year (this last Oct.) after his first bloat, my dog bloated again and had to have surgery this time to have his stomach and spleen rotated back in place. Lucky I caught it in time and there was no damage to any of the tissue and he his doing great now. Was an expensive surgery but he is worth it...just look at that face. He has also had his stomach tacked so if he does bloat again his stomach can't rotate.
This can happen to any medium and large breed dogs and knowing the signs and what to look for can save their lives. You owe it to yourself and you pets to read about bloat in dogs as knowledge is power and in this case saved my dogs life.
