Chicago Body Art Expo
So I arrived later than I had expected. The train did not leave when they had it on the schedule, but four hours later... I was in beautiful downtown Chicago. I just love the old feel of the city and even riding in a cab from the Union Station train station to the Navy Pier, you can feel it. My favorite part is going down to Lower Wacker. That place is so dirty and fantastic! Everytime I am down there I want to do a photoshoot!
I ended up buying a three day pass into the Expo. The first day, I was suppose to have a couple friends meet me there, but the economy is hitting hard.. even for amatuer porn stars. Tattoo Expo This Weekend.. will you be there?

I am really excited for tomorrow! I will be at the Body Art Expo all weekend starting at 2pm central on Friday! I love body art and I hear there are tons of tattoo contests that people can enter. So I think I will try a few. I doubt I will win, but that is okay. My art is very special to me and I love every one!
I think if any of them have a chance it is my thigh tattoo or my solar system arm band. I got both of them originally in Hawaii when I was stationed there, but I also got additional work on my thigh a couple years later at the Body Art Expo in San Fransisco. It took four hours straight to get all the details done, but it was worth every second.
I have seven tattoos in total though. I got my first one when I was 16 and I have been addicted ever since. I just think there is no canvas as beautiful as skin. Especially a woman's smooth skin! Anyways, I love tattoos and I am super excited to be able to chat with the artists tomorrow! Maybe I'll get some pics to share with everyone here! Back from Chicago
We just spent the last day in Chicago. We even got a room at a hotel and got to look over downtown Chicago at night! It was fabulous. 2009 Star Trek film

Star Trek 2009.. a fresh face to an old franchise
I have an urge to say really bad Star Trek quotes like, "To boldly go..." or "Beam me up..." but I won't. Damn... I think I just did. On Friday, I drug my husband to see the new film. He is not a fan at all, but he knew it meant a lot to me. It is one of the few films I have gone to the theater to see in the last year. The movie itself was really good. I had several "goosebump" moments that would put any trekkie into a giggling mess! This movie is all about giving the old franchise a fresh twist to the classic, not to replace it and I feel they did that (with some exceptions). My husbands only gripe was the in-your-face filming style which I thought made the action squenses even better. I had to laugh when he said, "I didn't need to see Spock's nose hairs.. damnit!"
The characters were really well done and I have to give kudos to the actors and actresses. My main gripe with the characters was Bones. In the original series, he looks to be about the same age as Kirk. In the new movie, he looks ten years older already. It is a small gripe I am sure. Another gripe is the that there is a little gore in the film. Although I love hardcore gory films, I felt it was out of place for a Star Trek film. I know JJ Abrams just wanted to make it fresh and updated for the new generation (which I felt he accomplished), but there was one moment that I felt was just a bit too much for Star Trek. Star Trek is suppose to be funny, cheesy and awesome... no gore. There was another aspect to the movie that I thought they could have taken out with Uhura, but I do not want to give out any spoilers so I will just say that I thought it was forced.
That being said, it was filled with uber geek moments and the "cheese" factor is certainly there! They tied the plot into a nice little bow in the end and I would love to see them do another installment which they could do really easily! I will be buying it! Now, I look forward to Angels and Demons which will probably be the last movie I see in the theater this year.. I can wait until they are OnDemand for the others!

Spring Break so far...

So we spent like four hours working on our taxes yesterday. It was rough. Afterwords, we were both in such a bad mood. Have you done your taxes yet? Do you do your taxes yourself using a tax software or do you go to someone to have them do it for you? We used Turbo Tax. Overall, Turbo Tax is really simple. Our biggest problem is ensuring all of our expense receipts are in organized before we dive into everything. We will be better prepared for next year... I think..lol Max laughs at me because I am trying to ensure we do everything by the book. I just figure the one time we do something wrong.. that's when we will get audited! Being that we now have a corporation, we can get big fines if we do it incorrectly which we cannot afford! What about you? Do taxes scare you or do you just not worry about it?

Here is my updates for this weekend and the next. For those that do not know.. I am going to be spending time w/ my in-laws from 21-30th. Crying my ass off!

So I just got done watching CSI Las Vegas premere! It was everything I wanted and just makes me so upset! They even brought Sara back while the team investigates Warrick's case. Every second of that episode brought me to tears and not just one or two.. I was bawling!! I even moved my cam to the living room so I could cry and no one would be worried in my house..lol. I love this show and I know that the show will never be the same. We know that even Gil will be leaving the show. I find it hard to believe that they will be able keep such an amazing show going with out Gil, Sara or Warrick. It is definately a sad day for CSI. That being said, the preview of next week looks awesome. Looks like Sara gets to investigate a case where people are hypnotised to do anything including suicide and murder. I think it looks awesome, so at least I have that to look forward to watching!

Its too bad! Yesterday on America's Got Talent they revealed that a crying opera singer is the best new act in America. Now maybe if he stopped crying.. but he is so fake! Too bad!
My heart goes out to the real talent.. Nuttin but Strings and Eli Mattson! I say real meaning they aren't fake crying everytime they get on stage.. they just impressed people by doing what they do. They are amazing and I can't wait until they aren't under contract from AGT so I can see them live and buy thier cds and such!
