Hi all,
It has come to my attention since I took over for hosting that there are many myths as to how things work on Rude with personal sites etc. SO, in an effort to answer these questions and to cut off endless support issues on them, here is a little FAQ of sorts for it.
1. To have a banner on your house or show you must have an affiliate program, and Rude must sign up for this program. What does this mean?
a. It means that you have a website that charges money to sign up.
b. Your website has an affiliate program of its own, which means that you will pay webmasters 50% or more (generally in the adult world) of any transaction caused by their traffic. So they send someone to your site, that someone signs up and your affiliate (in this case Rude) gets 50%
c. When you sign up with rude, give them the place to go to sign up for the affiliate program. Make sure it goes directly to it.
2. After you send Toni an e-mail or Rude mail she will go to the link you have sent her and sign Rude up for your affiliate program. Once this is done she will turn on the ability for you to have your banner.
3. You MUST HAVE a functioning affiliate program to have a banner on those spots. If you DO NOT KNOW what an affiliate program is, contact your webmaster, your billing, or someone who might know.
4. MEMBER EMBEDS must always be behind a password protected members area.
