Love at first sight

It appears to be my lot in life to dispense with some of the untruths that have infiltrated our world of relationships. This week shall be no different. The Myth: Love at first sight. Fact or fiction. Me, I believe its fiction. A total falsehood thought up just for the sake of making someone feel good. Now I believe the bible says to love they neighbor as thyself, but it didnt say you would love them when you first met them. In theory its impossible. When you meet someone of the opposite sex your intitial attraction to them is already based on some pre-concieved notion you have in your head about what you want. So why do we tell people "I loved you from the first time i saw you". No. What we should say is "I was attracted to you from the first time I saw you". But like I said the bible says love everyone. Yes but that love is not relationship love. The Bible love is unconditional. Relationship love gets turned on and off like a light switch. So is there love at first sight. Not in the way we define love. Everybody whether male or female starts out at a young age defining what kind of person they are going to be attracted to. I'll use myself as an example: I like short women, why cuz im short. I like a woman with a little meat on her bones. So if im at the club, or in the street, I already know what im looking for. And most of the time its not love. Now I have been in a situation where i met a female and there was a feeling that i had never felt before. Would i call it love, no. A strong like, a mutual connection, lust even, but not love. Why becuase people are conditional. Everything we do has one purpose or another. You cant tell if you love someone when you first meet them. Cuz your not looking that far ahead. All you know is they fit your criteria: height, weight, hair-no hair,eye color, etc. So is love in the picture? No. Love comes later. After you figure out their querks. After the first big arguement. Or sometimes after they leave. Then you know whether or not your its love. So can we agree or not? Love at first sight: Myth Busted! Please leave your comments. I would LOVE to know what you think
