Getting back to normal after my sons surgery

I am starting to get back to normal after my 4 year old sons surgery.......
It has been a nightmare for us this past month plus and things are really looking up now...
It started over a month ago .....
started out with strep throat and put on antibiotics...then shortly after this went into bronchitis with his asthma acting up and then into mild pneumonia...then we woke up to his neck hurting and his lymph nodes the size of eggs and they said it was pharingitis with swollen lymph....after a while it still wasnt getting better after 2 different antibiotics...running a fever all the times , neck hurting etc etc...Had him to drs and hospital several times...finally his pediatrician said on a friday if he wasnt any better by monday they would start running tests and checking for lukemia etc...The following Monday I brought him back in...they ran a bunch of tests, he had and had an IV dye CT scan...then...waiting for the doctors call what a nightmare......Finally the call came...It wasnt lukemia but.......what happened was his body never got rid of the strep throat and was abcessing in his throat. they said if it went on much longer we would of been in a world of shit because it would of spread through his body (drs. exact words)...they did surgery and were able to go down his throat to cut out the abcesses, so they didnt have to cut through his neck..was released from hospital the next afternoon...he is 100 times better now , soft diet till his sees surgeon on the 24th and no pre-K...(after his post of appt they might consider taking his tonsils and adnoids - we shall see). He gave me a scare a couple days ago when he brought up red blood so I raced to the surgeons office 45 mins away......he figures it was a blood clot but if it continues to happen bring him straight to the Hospital...thank GOD it hasnt happened again....I must say that since the surgery he has done a complete turnaround ...no fevers, sleeping through the night, no pain, acting like his lovable self and the swollen lymph nodes have gotten ALOT smaller!!
My heartfelt thanks go to the well wishes and prayers!!!!!!!!!!!
Kisses, Farrah ****
