First Time for Everything!!

Well...today I did something that I've NEVER done before...and that is go shopping on Black Friday...
Let me be the first to tell you that I will NEVER do it again...
I love the holidays...I am a kid a heart...
I truely do enjoy shopping for others - especially my kids...
Remembering and knowing the feeling a child gets at Christmas time..
The innocent joy of knowing Santa is coming...nothing can compare to the feeling I get knowing they are feeling what I felt as a child...It gives me such joy shopping for and picking out things for my children knowing that I'll see that same excitement in their eyes that I had as a child...
WELL....store opened at 5am....I didnt get there until 7:30am when I knew that mad crazy rush would be over...
Boy was I wrong...Talk about chaos, confusion, tons of people, (people gone mad), fights in the electronics department, not knowing where anything is (because of course everything is where it shouldn't be and normally isnt)...
THIS IS NOT WHAT IN MY HEART IS THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS....all just to save a few bucks...sure they had some good deals BUT to me its not worth it...not at all!
The joy I normally get was nowhere to be found today....
Thank goodness I will be going shopping again on a "NORMAL" day so I can get back the joy in my heart from shopping for my loved ones...
I will chalk this day up to experience and learn from it.....The lesson? NEVER GO SHOPPING ON BLACK FRIDAY!!!
