BUTT AUGMENTATION SURGERY

Given that focus on the butt is still so massive in the adult industry, I thought butt implants might be a good topic for a Blog. You know what its like, the ever increasing search for perfection. The media, and maybe porn itself, possibly has something to answer for in making us feel at times unnecessarily inadequate. You would have thought that
moving from the boyish figure favored years ago to the more rounded (junk in the trunk) shape in vogue now would be a positive progression for many women. Over here particularly in the past most girls were conditioned to worry unmercifully if their butt was too big, thankfully thats not to any great degree the case now. However with huge rise of butt augmentation in recent years, have we just created another set of expectations, that women feel that they have to live up to, regardless of our natural shape?
But this aside I was curious on what the procedure entailed and how safe, sturdy, effective and authentic feeling it actually was. There is, of course, lots out there on breasts implants, but what would be the info on derriere transformation? I trawled the net to see what the pros and cons of surgery are, and actually found few articles that weren't simply advertisements. And of course the horror stories, which I won't include here, though feel free to. However this article, taken from http://answers.yahoo.com, I felt was particularly informative and spelled out some of the benefits and dangers, so am sharing here as maybe a talking point, or at the very least, an informative piece (I hope) *though please do not view this blog as medical advice, this should be sought directly from your own physician before undertaking anything of this kind. I've added some surgery pic results for interest. Any thought, opinion or even experience you have on these procedures (personally or second party), or even thumbs up or thumbs down, would be interesting to hear.
Butt Augmentation
Butt augmentation is a cosmetic surgical procedure to add fullness and roundness to the buttocks. Your butt can be augmented in either of two ways, by injecting fat taken from elsewhere in your body (fat grafting procedure), or by inserting synthetic implants. You can also have a buttock lift, which is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat and reshapes the buttocks.
There are many reasons why people turn to buttock augmentation. Curves are in, and many people inspired by looks of celebrities want to achieve that perfect Jennifer Lopez butt look. Some people believe that their derriere is not becoming to them. They feel that it is flat or lacks prominence. A flat butt on either a man or a woman can make clothing appear to be ill-fitted and can detract from an otherwise excellent silhouette. For other people, weight loss or age has left them with a sagging derriere.
In either case, buttock enhancement surgery which can take the form of fat injections, butt implants or a buttock lift can give you the silhouette you have always wanted. Improving or correcting a perceived physical flaw can give you a lift in both self-esteem and self-confidence.
However, no type of cosmetic surgery should be entered into without great thought. All surgery carries some risk, and butt implants and butt lifts are major surgery. The muscles and tendons of your buttocks and lower back take part in almost every action you do. Each time you stand up or sit down or turn your torso, the muscles of your buttocks and lower back move. Even standing still, your buttocks (along with the muscles of your abdomen and back) are making slight adjustments at all times to keep you standing upright. And let us not forget sitting. As you sit, all your weight rests on your buttocks and upper thighs. Your reshaped derriere must be able to bear the weight that is resting on your butt when you sit.
Recovery from buttock augmentation is difficult. Although you can go home the same day as your buttock lift or butt implant surgery, you will not be able to stay home alone. You will need to have someone stay with you for at least a day and perhaps longer to help you in getting up, cleaning yourself, getting meals for you, and other activities. You will need to walk around and move gently in the day or two after your surgery, but for the most part, you will be lying on your stomach as you recover.
Buttock Augmentation Procedures
Brazilian butt lift or butt injections The most famous type of shape-modifying injections to the bottom is the Brazilian Butt Lift; although the procedure is also called fat injections, fat transfer, or fat grafting. It usually consists of a combination of liposuction around the buttocks and many injections of fat into the buttocks. The fat is your own fat that was harvested by liposuction from either around your buttocks or from your abdomen or elsewhere. This fat is then processed and purified before it is reinjected. Depending on the amount of augmentation needed, you may need to undergo a great deal of injections, which are made at various sites and depths in your buttocks.
The body may reabsorb some of this transferred fat, but most surgeons say that most of the fat will remain if it was processed correctly, and that the results will be lasting. There is swelling after the procedure, and the full results may not be clearly seen until after the swelling goes down in 1 to 3 months.
Butt implants Butt implants are augmentations done by inserting a silicone implant into each buttock. This type of cosmetic surgery is growing in popularity. Butt implants are solid silicone implants that can be inserted either under the gluteus muscles or under the skin and fascia (muscle sheath) to create a rounded, more prominent butt. They are generally placed in the top half of each buttock, so that you do not sit directly on them. Silicone butt implants are solid. They cannot leak or rupture like breast implants, which are silicone sacks filled with either saline or silicone gel. The implants come in several shapes and sizes and can also be custom-made. Although butt implants, unlike silicone breast implants, cannot rupture, they can move out of place due to scarring or trauma. If an implant is displaced, your butt is going to look asymmetrical until the problem is corrected, which is done surgically. Most butt implants are inserted through a short incision in the crease between your buttocks. Both implants can be inserted through the same incision. Because of the proximity of the incision to the anus, infection is a serious concern. Other sites for the incisions are in the crease under each buttock (the gluteal crease) or, rarely, above the buttock. Scars after butt implants will be visible with either of these incisions, although scars should be hidden in the gluteal crease after healing. Some cosmetic surgeons prefer to use butt implants only on people who do not have enough body fat for butt enhancement with fat injections.
Buttock lift A buttock lift is a surgical procedure to remove excess fat and skin on the buttocks and reshape them into a more aesthetically pleasing form. A buttock lift is major surgery. An incision is made about where the lower back and upper buttocks meet, and skin and fat are removed. The skin of the buttocks is then lifted upward, and the incision is closed. Depending on how much fat and skin must be removed, the incision may reach around the hips. This incision will be hidden by clothing, including a bathing suit bottom, but will be visible when naked. This type of butt lift surgical procedure may be especially beneficial after a large weight loss, such as that seen after weight-loss surgery such as stomach-stapling. It can be combined with a tummy tuck and a thigh lift into a procedure that is also called a body lift, or it can be combined with liposuction.
