In honor and memory..
12:43PM on September 11, 2008
Today is September 11th. For those of us living in the U.S., we know what today means. 7 years ago was a day that none of us will ever forget. We won't forget.......we can't forget.
If you're like me, and you lost someone that day, today's much harder. My heart goes out to ALL the families affected by today.
I love you guys.

A new post
3:43PM on September 03, 2008
I know I haven't posted a blog in awhile, but I've been extremely busy at work. With school being back in session now, we lost 2 people in my department b/c of college...and the rest of us are trying to make up for the losses. It's hell I tell ya.
Also, I don't post that frequently because I'm not even 100% sure that people read these. If ya do, that's awesome, and I'm sorry I've been lacking.
9 more days till "Death Magnetic", the newest album from Metallica, hits the stores! From all the stories I've read online...and the songs I've previewed (NOT bought) on ITunes, this is gonna be a hell of a comeback. It better be, or their careers are done with.

Random ramblings...
5:32PM on August 12, 2008
Back again! Not a lot going on really, but I figured I'd drop a blog about some interesting stuff lately.
Sports fans:
Yeah baby! Football season is upon us again, and today's an awesome day, as Madden '09 was released for the video gamers out there. Will the Giants dominate again and win back to back Super Bowl's? Hell yes we will!
It was also pretty interesting to see all the shake-ups in Baseball recently. Griffey gets traded (I bet Mef fans are relieved that he's not a Marlin).....Manny Ramirez gets traded (good riddance ya bum)...and "Pudge" Rodriguez becomes a Yankee. Well, if our bullpen would shape itself up a bit, we might remember how to win a game. Having an awesome catcher like Pudge doesn't do squat if the pitching can't come through.
Music fans:
For all the metalheads out there...I'm playin the new Opeth right now, and it's killer. I get to see them for the first time in 2 months. Awesome. Also, about a month to go till the new Metallica gets released. Something I've been waiting for, but I hope it's not a disappointment. Yeah yeah, I've heard they're going back to the olden days where they actually sounded like a metal band....and they've got the old logo back, but I'm not holdin my breath. Tourdates were just announced, and it's pretty awesome that they've got 3 different bands opening for them. Depending on where you are, you can either see Down, Lamb of God, or Machine Head open up. I'm on the East Coast, so I get Machine Head. Gonna be a good show.

Shit happens
2:20PM on August 05, 2008
Sorry for the lack of blogs lately...been a lot going on.
Remember last weekend when I posted and said how excited I was to be seeing Bruce Springsteen twice? Yeah, that didn't happen :( Turns out on Thursday, just before I walk out the door, I get a call from one of the other people I was going with saying there had been a huge accident in NJ. Of course, it's gotta be near Giants Stadium, which is where I was headed. Some propane truck overturned near the exit ramp, and traffic was backed up for hours while the cleanup began. They said there was a detour, but the roads weren't meant to handle a massive amount of traffic. So, as much as it sucked....the decision was made not to go. Turns out Bruce didn't even start till 9:45, so it would have been hell getting home, and going back to work the next day.
Then yesterday, I was supposed to go see another concert I'd been dying to go to...Machine Head & Mastodon, but couldn't make that either. That one was due to people not showing up on time at work, and my being subjected to staying until help arrived. Thanks guys. At least I didn't have to eat the money for this ticket like I did Springsteen. I hadn't even gotten tickets for last night's show, but was planning on buying them at the door of the club.
Hey...sometimes shit happens.

What a weekend!
1:41PM on July 28, 2008
Hiya people!
I'm back, after a fairly good weekend. I was stuck at work for most of Saturday, then went to see the X-Files movie with a few other die-hard fans. It sucked. I was a bit skeptical when I first heard they were doing a movie...it's been so long since the show ended, and I wasn't quite sure it'd work. It didn't, and it won't be one I rent when it comes out on DVD.
Sunday however, more than made up for it. I took the day off from work so I could go see "The Boss", Bruce Springsteen in concert. What an amazing friggin show. He played for about 3 1/2 hours, and it was the damn loudest Springsteen show I've ever been to. Not just musically, but the fans were off the charts last night. We sure know how to rock! And the best thing is...I'm seeing him again later this week. It'll be hard to top last night's, but I'm more than willing to find out.
Only down side to last night's show, and this is really minor, but we were getting a bit restless last night waiting for it to start. Now I've been to plenty of concerts, and 99% of them do start when they're supposed to....but when tickets say 7:30, and you don't start till 8:30...it kinda sucks. Traffic was hell last night getting out of the place too. But the show was so worth it.

It's Been Awhile...
12:47PM on July 23, 2008
Yeah I know, I said I was gonna update my blog every day if I could, and now it's been a week. I've had some pretty boring days at work...nothing exciting, nobody's pissed me off. I don't have that much material to write about LOL.
Still haven't gotten out to see The Dark Knight yet. Gonna try and get to the movies within the next week to catch it. I don't want to wait till it comes out on DVD...I hate doing that shit. "Oh, I wanna see this movie", yeah, the idea is to see it in the theater when it comes out, not 6-8 months down the road when it comes on DVD.
Ah well, just wanted to let you know I was still around. Have a good day people!

Nothin but baseball
3:57PM on July 16, 2008
So I'm back again after a few days of not blogging. Sorry to any who read it, but I was a little busy over the weekend working. Then Monday night was the Home Run Derby, and last night was the All-Star Game. Now I wasn't actually at either, but every year I do sit and watch on TV, and nothing can drag me away from it.
Going into the Derby this year, I kind of had the same reaction as everyone else...that there weren't enough "big name" players in it, and I wasn't really sure how it was gonna turn out. I'd just like to admit now that I was totally wrong! Josh Hamilton, and his 71 year old personal pitcher, blew my mind. He was friggin crushing those home runs, and put them in places I've never seen any Yankee hit them. It was pretty awesome how the guys from ESPN were saying that in the course of an hour, he won over the fans at the Stadium....and that in a few years, he could be playing for the Yankees. Hell, he keeps hitting like that, we'll take him!
As for the All-Star Game...well, I didn't catch too much of it, because I was at work. Came home and watched a little, but of course when you start a game later at night like that, you know it's not getting over any time soon. Little did anyone realize just how late it was gonna be. Ended around 2am, and from what I read, most of the fans went home before it was even over. That's what I would have had to do if I were there, because the last train leaving NYC leaves, I believe, shortly before 1am. While I'm sad that they're shutting down the old Stadium....the new one looks pretty badass, and I can't wait to catch a game or two next year. And now the trains are gonna go a lot closer than they do now, so it'll be easier to get over there.
Now let's hope the Yanks get their heads out of their asses and play some ball like a championship team!

Douchebags!
7:30PM on July 11, 2008
Well first off, TGIF for the normal people reading this. Seems like the week came and went real fast.
Now for the idiots that I encountered today..feel my rant:
Those who take their little kids shopping, and the kid screams and cries so much that they want something...and finally 10 minutes later, the parent caves in and buys it. Ya know what? F**k that! If it were my kid that was causing a public disturbance like that, they'd get nothing! This makes kids think that if they cry and scream long enough, they get what they want. Nuh uh. When I was little, if I was told "no", that meant "no", and I shut up about it.
People who talk endlessly on their cell phones while waiting in line to pay for something.....you'd be the first to bitch and complain if I didn't take your money fast enough because I was on the phone. When you do it, I have to stand there and wait till your done, and you're holding up my line! Finish the call BEFORE you walk into the store. If you get a call while shopping, either go outside, or call them back.
and my last rant's a good one....the people who drive 20 miles an hour, with no traffic in front of them, on a 55MPH road. If you don't know where you're going, either use a GPS, or pull off to the shoulder so you can try and get your bearings. If you DO know where you're going, but you're just doing it slowly on purpose....fuck you. Why should I be late to where I need to be, so you can take your sweet ass time? And no, I don't drive myself, but it STILL pisses me the hell off to be sitting in the passenger, or the back seat, and have to wait for you to move.
WTF!

It's summertime!
3:52PM on July 09, 2008
So I was out for a bit on my day off today, and let me tell ya...I wish I stayed inside! It's friggin hot out there. I feel bad for those people who don't have either air conditioning, or central air. Although I'd rather have the summer than be buried under 12 inches of snow.
Normally this time of year I'm about to leave for a summer vacation, but it's been put off this year for a few months. It'll now end up being a fall vacation, and that's because of work issues, getting time off, and not having enough of a staff where more than 1 person can go on a vacation at once. I don't mind it really, the family planned it that way just in case something like this would happen. Besides, in the fall, weather's a little cooler, lines are shorter because kids are in school...so it'll all work out in the end.
Stay cool people, and I mean that as literally as possible this time of year!

I gave in...
6:08PM on July 02, 2008
Soo after a little more than a dozen blog entries...I'm finally gonna make one about the Rude site LOL. (I know...it's about f'n time...nobody wants to read about my daily life LOL).
I finally gave in and decided to buy a VIP upgrade. After trying to win it for free 2 or 3 times, and having one of my posts disappear entirely without warning (Still didn't find out why), I just decided to throw in the towel and buy it. And let's be honest here...there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell I was gonna win anyway. Who are we kidding? LOL.
I actually thought the free $5 in chips was gonna amount to more, but I sure as hell won't complain. Why complain about something you get for free. So over the next few days, I'm gonna be exploring a little more around here. Don't be surprised if I pop into a House or two :)
Ok...just wanted to drop in and say that. Back to my video games I go!

Ehh..
7:09PM on July 01, 2008
So I was supposed to be off yesterday, with plans to play Guitar Hero:Aerosmith all day. Didn't happen. People got sick, couldn't come to work, and I had to go save their asses. Soooo that kinda screwed my entire day. Screwed my week too, because I won't get another day off.
Had an electrical fire at work today (yeah, that's how I wanna start my day off) that killed the power for about half the day. Nobody was hurt, but it made for an interesting day, that's for sure. I basically did nothing and got paid for it!
New music this week that I have to hear includes the new Motley Crue (Which from the previews I've heard, sounds friggin fantastic), and the new Disturbed (I'm iffy about this one).

So I'm back..
11:55PM on June 28, 2008
Whooohooo...in about 12 hours, I'll (hopefully) be getting my hands on Guitar Hero:Aerosmith! I know, I know...I've done a lot of talk on here about it, but I'm psyched as hell to get it! And I'm not working Monday, so I can spend the day playing it. I'll be sure to let everyone know how awesome it is.
Said goodbye to my uncle this weekend. That was hard as hell, and I'm still kinda numb about it. Really hasn't set in that he's gone yet. All I know is that I really need to start seeing my family more. I really don't want the only times I run into them being at funerals.
Needless to say, I drank my ass off this weekend. I don't even wanna look at a beer bottle for a week or two. My uncle woulda been happy though. And this weekend, that's all that really mattered.

Anyone got a beer?
11:22PM on June 24, 2008
This is gonna be short. Sorry, but I'm in no mood. Carlin died Sunday night & my uncle died this morning. Of course nobody calls me and tells me this while I'm at work...I have to find out hours later when I get home. So the next few days are gonna be some family get-togethers I'd think. Not really the way I wanted to catch up and see my cousins that I haven't seen in months, but hey, shit happens.
So if I neglect my blog until the weekend's over (do people really read this thing anyway?), that's where I went.
May my uncle R.I.P.

And then there was silence...
7:23PM on June 23, 2008
"Did you hear that the laughter died last night?" This was the first thing I hear when I walk into work this morning. Still half asleep, I ask my co-worker wtf he just said, and he asks me again. When I told him no, and asked what it meant...he told me "Carlin died last night" I was in total shock that one of my favorite performers was gone. What's even worse was I missed his last gig when he played here, and I vowed to go next time..because when George performs, you listen.
Of course, there's some people who don't enjoy his no BS brand of stand-up....and the times where he got into politics and religious beliefs were a little touchy. For those who DID enjoy it though, it was some of the funniest social commentary anyone had heard in a long time. The "7 Words You Can't Say on Television" is downright hysterical, and I know his humor will be shared for generations to come. I consider George to be "unfuckwithable". Him, Sam Kinison, Denis Leary, and Andrew "Dice" Clay are really the only 4 comedians I ever need. You can keep your Dane Cook.
Rest In Peace George...thanks for the memories.

Another weekend gone..
10:43PM on June 22, 2008
I had a pretty uneventful weekend. Of course I spent most of it at work, but I'm used to that. I do enjoy the customers, however, that ask if you carry stuff, and when you tell them no, will proceed to tell you all about it, why they need it, and ask at least once (if not twice) more if you have it, or where they can get it.
Well gee, if I didn't have it when you first asked 20 minutes ago, I'm not magically goinna pull it out of nowhere and start to sell it now. Dipshit.
Today was kinda fun, but it could have turned scary real quick. It friggin poured for 30-45 minutes this afternoon. Had been raining off and on throughout the day, but then just decided to downpour without stopping. So as I and a few other associates went outside to watch/play, it got real windy real quick, and pretty damn dark. I seriously thought there was a tornado coming through, that's how hard it was raining. Tornado's are not something I wanna be caught anywhere near again. I've been through it once, it sucked, I don't want to do it again. So we scrambled back inside, I told my boss what was goin on, and he said we'd wait and see what happened. No tornado's came through, but the commute home was hell with all the trees down, and a few power lines.
All this, on the Summer Solstice. Yep, that's right, it's officially summer! Let's enjoy it folks!
And totally on a different topic...T-7 days till Guitar Hero:Aerosmith. No, I won't shut up about it until it comes out...and once it does, I'm gonna be raving about it for days LOL.

TGIF!
3:51PM on June 20, 2008
Whoohoo...it's Friday! I don't get excited as most people do, because my job doesn't have a set schedule for me, so I end up working most weekends anyway. Can't remember the last time I had an entire weekend off....think it was last summer. That sucks.
While I was at work yesterday, I heard one of our customers saying that one of the places she used to shop was closing it's doors this weekend, and they were having a HUGE sale. This made me a little sad, as the place she was talking about was the first retail job I ever worked for. I loved it there, and only left because I found better opportunities elsewhere (That, and they were treating my girlfriend, who also worked there, like shit. She left, and to support her, I followed).
So since I had the day off today, I figured I'd take a stop there and see if the rumors were true. Sadly, they are :( They've been having a "going out of business" sale for the last month, and I got there just in time. There was barely anything left to sell. I grabbed one of the last pieces of merchandise, hung around for a bit talking about the good times I had while there, and said my goodbyes. On the selfish side, I only paid $7.50 for a $40 item. I do know how to shop!
So, for the rest of the day, I'm gonna sit back in the air conditoning (Damn it's hot out), throw on some music to annoy the neighbors, and chill.
Have a good weekend everyone!

11:17PM on June 18, 2008
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's being sick. Ok...I won't even call it being "sick", but just feeling like crap. Happened to me last night, and I have no idea where it came from! I was fine all day at work, then once I got home, I started feeling it. 15 mins after I got home, I was in bed sleeping (This is at 5:45pm mind you), and didn't get up until like, 8.
Got up, decided I needed to eat, even though I didn't really feel like it, and watched my Friends DVD collection. That didn't last long, and by 10pm, I was back to sleep, not moving until 10am today. I was back to normal this morning...and I hope whatever I got last night stays away for a long time.
I did manage to listen to some of the new Judas Priest before this all started (I told you I'd get it first day...had to go to 4 stores to find it!). I'm about 3/4's of the way through the first disc, but let me just say I'm not impressed. I can't put my finger on why, but it's just not doing anything for me yet. This is gonna take some time to grow on me I think.
Off for the next 2 days from work...whoohoo!

Here we go again...
3:37PM on June 16, 2008
Sorry I missed yesterday's post. It was Father's Day, and I had to work for most of it, then come home and spend a few hours with the folks.
Sometimes I can't stand shopping for other people. There's years where I know exactly what I want to get..and there's years like this one, where I have no clue. It sucks even more for me, because Father's Day and his birthday are weeks apart. Do I get one gift for each day....do I get one gift and combine both? I go through the same stuff every single year. It's hell on my wallet. But he seemed to like what he got, so I'm done for another year.
Shopping for me, on the other hand, totally rules. As a kid, I used to just buy stuff because I had money in my pocket....so even if I only knew I liked 1 song on a particular CD, I had to have it. Of course, when I was a kid, we didn't have the internet, or the ability to listen to CD's before we bought them. Now, today, if I find something I might want, I just go hunt it down on ITunes before buying. (And before anyone objects...I DO legally buy my CD's. Sometimes I might get a song or two off ITunes, but if I like it, I'll go buy it).
Speaking of which, the new Judas Priest CD "Nostradamus" comes out tomorrow. A 2 CD set that I've been waiting a long time for. Gonna be a first day buyer on that one! Also, 2 weeks and counting till Guitar Hero: Aerosmith! I've actually put down GH: 3 in high anticipation for the Aerosmith version. As someone who owns all their proper studio recordings, this is gonna be major excitement. I'm not gonna be able to put the thing down for a few days.
ok...that's all for now. Will try and be back tomorrow.

Wow, lighten up people!
3:20PM on June 14, 2008
I'm gonna rant here. Sorry in advance.
So as I'm sitting here on my day off reading the boards, I found something that kinda disturbed me. I'm pretty good at smelling sarcasm, but I don't think this was the case. If it was, then hey, I'm sorry...but if not...
I just found a VIP (who I won't call out) saying that we who are trying to get our free VIP passes are wasting valueable board space by creating topics, and not having anything on our Rudespaces to show for it. Wow....
Maybe some of us trying to run are newbies, and we don't have 1,001 things up on our sites yet
Not everyone in cyberspace wants to put up pictures of themselves, for privacy, or whatever reasons...
Or they just don't have the means to do so (no cam on computer..no digital camera, etc...)
Not everyone may have the money to shell out to BUY themselves a VIP pass, so they're doing it however they can...
Don't be arrogant, don't be a smartass.....don't be rude! (Even though the site's called that LOL)
If people are gonna act that way, it's gonna discourage a lot of us from even trying.
Again, if this was truly a case of sarcasm that I missed, then just ignore my ranting. I am new here after all.
Of course, that's just my opinion....I could be wrong.
